Also why did you take away those AWESOME games!? Now there is only the 3D games, not 2d. I used to love playing with my friends and sisters, now I can do two with them. Now you get 6 games for free, two of which are multiplayer, and overall (counting the subscriber games) there are about 7 multiplayer games. Multiple games to play for free, being to play almost all games multiplayer. To unlock more fun, teachers can buy their class a Sumdog Subscription, which unlocks the ability to make teachers be able to assign work, reward students, give students the ability to access any game, work on math and grammar, and much more. Coins can be earned by getting questions correct, reaching a 20 minute goal (resets each week) or teachers rewarding them. They can buy items for them and their house with coins. Kids also have access to the Sumdog House, where they can design their own house and themselves. While kids are having fun, teachers can keep track of what students are learning.

There are 6 games for free without a membership. Kids will need to complete a short “getting to know you” quiz then they can play a game. Sumdog turns learning into fun and games so kids can have fun while learning what they need to work on. If you have any students like this, this is the app for them. This is a very good app for students who don’t like math, spelling, or grammar. Overall, I enjoy going on this app despite having to answer pre-algebra questions and testing my knowledge of certain things. The students can learn, practice, and build upon their skills in the desired subject while playing games, designing their house, customizing their character, interacting and friending their peers, and competing with other students in the student body and world on the leaderboards. I recommend schools to start or continue using this app for their students because it helps build up their skills and encourages steady growth in their learning. Regardless, it’s a nice app despite having some flaws and things that are considered ‘annoying’ and ‘frustrating’.

Some of my favorite games have also been removed for newer and more advanced (if you can call it that) games, and some of the games are actually quite similar to preexisting games if you just looked at the game and did not play it. Obviously it’s encouraged to get to this goal and past it as it’ll heavily effect your final average, but of course there have been instances where this goal has not been reached.Īnyways, as the title says it’s a nice app with decent games, but they’ve changed most the games to 3D unlike before when most of the games were 2D. My teacher counts this goal as a test grade which is 90% of your final math grade. Basically you get graded from an F to an A depending on your score at the end of the quarter. If you do not reach this goal and are at a lower score, you’ll still get graded on it. This means there is a set goal, and if you reach it at the end of the quarter you get 100. In my school sumdog is a mandatory thing. Teachers can set up their school account on the Sumdog website. This gives them access to Sumdog’s games, and thousands of questions on mathematics, spelling and grammar. Once you’ve done this, you’ll create logins for your child to use the app. In the Sumdog app, parents can purchase a family plan covering up to 3 children. If your child does not have an account from school They’ll then be able to access any work that has been set by their teachers. Your child can log in with their details from their school. We use this to personalise Sumdog for them. When they first use Sumdog, we run a short curriculum-based diagnostic test, giving a snapshot of each child’s level – and areas for development. The curriculum-aligned questions adapt to your child’s level automatically, and are embedded in engaging, exciting games. Sumdog is all about personalising the experience for each child.
